FIELD SERVICE MECHANIC

Description:

This position is responsible for repairing and servicing equipment at customer sites. When in the office this position is responsible for performing routine tasks, including order processing, completing documentation for repairs, service and parts and entering information into system.
Travel to customers sites to troubleshoot and repair equipment
Oversee the installation of new equipment at customers sites
Test equipment to ensure operating efficiency
Provide training to customers operators on proper operating techniques of equipment
Operate and inspect equipment to diagnose problems
When in the office provide assistance to customers through answering inquiries on service and products
Contact customers to follow up on service and status of order as well as to generate service contracts

Qualifications Necessary:

Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technician or Heavy Equipment Mechanic or equivalent experience
Proven ability to troubleshoot closed and open loop hydraulic circuits
Able and willing to travel nationally and internationally for extended periods
3 - 5 years of field experience servicing heavy equipment
Electrical aptitude proven through troubleshooting electrical controls problems an asset
Proven ability to work well independently
Willing and able for extensive national and international travel
